Creating the foundations for a well-mannered and confident canine (and human).
Cost — $75 | Duration — 45 minutes to 1 hour

Service Description
In these sessions, we start with the basics of understanding canine behavior and reward based learning; how to appropriately communicate with our dogs using positive reinforcement.
To reliably teach and reward wanted behaviors, we have to slow down and think like a dog, in the way we communicate; how our body language, words, and timing of reinforcement conveys meaning to our dogs.

ADVANCED K9 LEARNING
A continuation of Basic Learning sessions aimed at fine-tuning behaviors.
Cost — $100 | Duration — 45 minutes to 1 hour

Service Description
Dogs aren't able to generalize behaviors, so it is our job to get them familiar with practicing the basics in a variety of ways. By doing this, we ensure our dogs fully understand what we are asking of them, making it more likely for them to listen to, —and focus on— us no matter the time, place or situation.

BODY CONDITIONING & BASIC AGILITY
Cost — $100 | Duration — 45 minutes to 1 hour
This service can be combined with Advanced Learning and Behavioral Modification Sessions for an additional $15 per session.

Service Description
Keeping learning sessions engaging and fun is pivotal, for both dog and human. Body Conditioning and Basic Agility are great ways to do that. Both are exercise based, they diversify learning, and put the basics to the test.
Body conditioning works on overall strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. Though often used for active sporting dogs or older less active dogs, if you have a dog that doesn’t seem to know where their legs are, or how big they are, this is a beneficial learning experience.
Basic Agility is not only an excellent source of exercise, but it creates the strongest of bonds between dog and handler. Basic Agility means that the dogs aren’t learning to compete, or to be the fastest, but rather to get fully comfortable with each piece of equipment and the cues used, at their own pace.
BEHAVIORAL MODIFICATION
Cost — $115 | Duration — 45 minutes to 1 hour

Service Description
This learning focuses on the dog's wants, needs, and wellbeing by utilizing rewards over punishment, along with counterconditioning and/or desensitization (DS/CC), to successfully modify behaviors.
Step 1 is aimed at understanding why our dogs are reacting and behaving in certain ways, how unwanted behaviors may have been reinforced in the past, and how to work on reinforcing the behavior we want while also providing our dog with what they need to feel comfortable.
There are many reasons why dogs may react to things, such as:
Undersocialization, moving too fast during beginner basic learning, past experiences in which the reactive or unwanted behavior had a reinforcing result, and frustration.

Using techniques such as Classical Counterconditioning and Desensitization, we will help your dog succeed, by overcoming obstacles and regulating their emotional responses. Anything is possible if we listen to what our dog is trying to tell us, take it slow, and reward, reward REWARD!
Any one of these can result in:
-
Jumping
-
Barking
-
On or off leash reactivity
-
Fear (people, places, objects, sounds)
-
Separation Anxiety
-
Resource Guarding
All training services include warm ups, mid-session breaks for rest and/or play, and cool down periods.
Disclaimer! The only way for training sessions to help you and your dog move forward, is if you are consistent with learning in between sessions. The training relationship should be between you and your dog, not just between me and your dog during sessions. If consistency and self discipline is not something you can see yourself doing, you will likely not see the results you want, and paying for sessions won’t be worthwhile.
My job is to guide you and your dog, so that when I’m not around you have the correct tools to work together!
